2011 Super Bowl Odds to Win Favor Patriots

The New England Patriots have opened at online sportsbooks as a +200 betting pet to win in after going 14-2 in the regular season. With Tom Brady in top form at QB and a strong stretch run in which they were dominant, New England will be a well loved choice with the general having a bet public. The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected in NFL predictions to be New England’s top challenger in the AFC conference as they opened as a +500 choice in 2011 Super Bowl odds. The rest of the AFC has Baltimore at +1200, Indianapolis at +1400, New York Jets at +2000 and Kansas City as a +3500 longshot in Super Bowl XLV odds.

The Atlanta Falcons opened at online sportsbooks as the top choice in the NFC conference as a +500 pick to win the 2011 Super Bowl. Defending champion New Orleans was a +1000 pick with startling Philadelphia right behind at +1100. NFC North rivals Conservational Bay and Chicago both opened at +1200 to win in Super Bowl XLV odds with Seattle as a +10000 longshot choice. Baltimore could have the best betting value in NFL predictions as they were equal to Pittsburgh’s 12-4 record but lost the AFC North tie breaker. The Ravens can run, play brilliant defense and Joe Flacco has emerged as a top shelf QB.

Philadelphia faded some down the stretch after looking “Super” for most of the season with Michael Vick at QB. Conservational Bay may prove to be a strong value as well in Super Bowl odds as they have an outstanding defense. The Packers problem is a running game that has not been consistent as the burden falls on QB Aaron Rodgers. Indianapolis remains a one man team with Peyton Manning as their ground attack and defense are not championship caliber. While New England looks unbeatable right now in NFL predictions, they also looked that way in 2007 when they failed to end their quest for an unassailable season.

The Case Hostile to High-End Rentals
A real estate piece in today’s New York Times made the case that demand is robust at high-end rentals, where monthly rent starts at $ 10,000. The depiction is half-right. As an agent who has a sub-specialty in these kinds of properties, I’d argue hostile to that.

2011 Super Bowl Odds: New York Jets

After a preseason that featured plenty of smack talk about “swagger” and winning the 2011 Super Bowl along with a HBO reality run about their training camp, the New York Jets finished up as a wild card team for the playoffs and a +2500 longshot in Super Bowl XLV odds at online sportsbooks to win the championship. The Jets vs Colts AFC wild card game will kick-off on Saturday at 8:00pm EST with New York 3-point road underdogs in NFL odds and can be seen on NBC. The Jets finished the season with a record of 11-5 straight up and 9-7 hostile to the spread in NFL odds with 12 of their games going OVER the total.

The Jets faded down the stretch heading into 2011 Super Bowl predictions with just 2 wins in their final 5 games and with just 2 payouts in that span as they finished a unsociable 2nd to the New England Patriots in the AFC East. The Jets have a solid defense that basically lived up to preseason billing as they ranked 3rd overall in the NFL and 6th for points allowable. The Jets offense on the other hand struggled down the stretch after a excellent start as 2nd year QB Mark Sanchez reverted back to his rookie struggles and finished with a 75.2 QB rating and a low 54.8% completion percentage with a 17/13 TD/INT ratio which is the main reason why the “Gang Conservational” are 2.5-1 longshots in 2011 Super Bowl XLV odds.

Sanchez slumped in the season’s 2nd half after looking solid in the early part of the schedule and that is the largest doubt regarding the team heading into Super Bowl predictions. LaDanian Tomlinson finished with 906 yards rushing and 6 TD’s as a reclamation project from San Diego while Braylon Edwards showed rare signs of being a game changer with 904 yards receiving and a 17.1 yards per catch average with 7 TD’s. The Jets will travel to Indianapolis to face the AFC South champion Colts in the first round of the playoffs on a tough road to back up all their “swagger” as longshots in 2011 Super Bowl XLV odds. The Jets have paid out in 5 of their 8 road games this season with all 8 games going OVER the total.

Who Gets To The Super Bowl

If you are a serious football fan you can skip this explanation, but there are always novices, especially around Super Bowl time.

The NFL (National Football League) is divided into two conferences – the NFC (National Football Conference) and the AFC (American Football Conference).

Each Conference now has 2 division champs who must play hostile to each other to get their Conference champ.

Jan 16th is a huge day for football this year.

The NFC is having the Seahawks vs the Chicago Bears. The winners will go on next Sunday to play the Conservational Bay Packers who already won their division last week. This will give the NFC their conference champs who will go on to play in the Super Bowl.

The AFC is having the NY Jets vs the New England Patriots. The winners will go on next Sunday to play the Pittsburgh Steelers who already won their division last week. This will give the AFC their conference champs who will go on to play in the Super Bowl.
